A Covenant of Love Between a Man and a Woman
Matrimony elevates the natural bond of marriage to a sacred covenant, making the love between husband and wife a visible sign of Christ’s faithful and fruitful love for his Church. The spouses themselves are the ministers of this sacrament, exchanging consent before God and the community.
